The Challenge
The MSD international pharmaceutical congress required a comprehensive delivery — from stage design concept through to full technical management of the event. The congress gathered pharmaceutical industry representatives from over a dozen countries, so every element had to meet MSD's rigorous corporate standards in both visual presentation and technical execution.
The centrepiece was the main stage set: a backdrop (horizon) with custom MSD-branded graphics, designed from the outset to incorporate two projection screens as an integral part of the visual composition. The entire stage environment needed to form a cohesive branded experience. Speakers required confidence monitors at the lectern and in front of the stage, and the set called for accent lighting to reinforce the event's corporate character.
Beyond what was visible on stage, the congress also required back-of-house infrastructure — a simultaneous interpretation system for international attendees and a professional guest registration system.
Our Solution
We planned the entire project from scratch. We designed the backdrop artwork (horizon graphic), incorporating two projection screens into the layout from the very beginning so that the multimedia elements became an integral part of the stage design rather than an afterthought. The finished design was printed on large-format fabric and stretched across a truss structure that we assembled on site in the congress hall.
We enhanced the stage set with accent lighting that added depth and reinforced the corporate atmosphere. LCD confidence monitors were mounted at the lectern (as a speaker prompter) and in front of the stage (for the moderator and hosts).
In parallel, we set up a simultaneous interpretation system with booths, transmitters, and receivers for international attendees, as well as a guest registration system. Our production crew managed the full audio and video operation throughout the congress — from running the event script, through switching presentation materials, to live audio mixing.

The Result
The congress ran without any technical disruptions. The stage set — designed and built from scratch, from the backdrop artwork through large-format printing to truss assembly — gave the event a polished corporate character fully aligned with MSD's international standards.
The projection screens, integrated into the backdrop graphic, created a unified visual composition rather than a typical "projector on a stand" setup. Confidence monitors allowed speakers to present naturally without turning away from the audience. The simultaneous interpretation system enabled seamless multilingual delivery, and our production crew's live script management ensured professional audio and video operation from the first to the last minute of the congress.
