A successful multimedia projection depends not only on projector specs but, above all, on venue conditions. Before your event, it is worth checking several key factors that can make or break image quality and audience comfort.
Room darkening is essential. Even the brightest projector loses contrast when sunlight hits the screen. Make sure the venue has blackout blinds or the ability to switch off lighting in the screen zone. For outdoor events, projection is only viable after dark or with rear-projection screens.
Throw distance determines the size of the projected image. Every projector has a specific throw ratio — share your room dimensions with us so we can select the right lens. For short distances we offer short-throw projectors that produce a large image from just a few metres away.
Electrical supply is an often-underestimated bottleneck. High-brightness projectors above 10,000 lumens require a dedicated 16A or 32A circuit. During the planning phase we check available power connections and, if needed, bring our own power distribution boards.
Cable runs and source signal — the longer the route from the signal source (laptop, splitter, media server) to the projector, the more important the choice of connection. Up to 15 metres we use HDMI cables; beyond that, we switch to SDI or fibre-optic converters to eliminate interference and signal loss.
